Developing educational learning material

Members of the consortium of the Erasmus+ project “Development of andragogue skills to improve quality of adult learning” (project grant agreement No 2016-1-LT01-KA104-022902) met in the Center of Excellence of the Healthcare and Pharmacy Specialists in Palanga.

On June 1-2, 2017 project partners, Klaipėda State University of Applied Sciences, Training Center “Dainava” for Public and Municipalities Officers, Marijampolė Meilė Lukšienie Education Center, Lithuanian Association for Adult Education and Center of Excellence of the Healthcare and Pharmacy Specialists started to develop educational learning materials for andragogues.

Training in Germany: warm memories

Early in April nine andragogues group from Lithuania arrived to Heidelberg, city in the Southern Germany, and visited Academy of Continuous Studies of the Heidelberg University. First training course of the ERASMUS+ program mobility project “Development of andragogue skills to improve quality of adult learning” was organized by this institution. Eight members of the Lithuanian Association for Adult Education participated in this training session: Klaipėda State University of Applied Sciences, Training Center “Dainava” for Public and Municipalities Officers, Marijampolė Meilė Lukšienie Education Center and Center of Excellence of the Healthcare and Pharmacy Specialists as well as representative of the Lithuanian Association for Adult Education.

Rimantas Zajarskas, Head of the Competence Evaluation Department, and Raimondas Natka, Deputy Dorector were delegated to participate in this event. Raimonds Natka: “Training courses in the Heidelberg University of Education showed us the way from teacher to helper. They helped us tu understand clearly that every student is a unique personality with his/her specific understanding of learning material, having personal needs and individual speed of learning. We learned to develop structured lections taking into account goals of students and environmental factors, tailor teaching and learning methods taking into account individual motivation of any students and assessing teachers own work.”
